We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Group Finance Manager to join our Central Support team based in Crewe, Cheshire. Working closely with the Head of Commercial Finance and boarder finance teams, this role is responsible for preparing the Bestway Retail Board management accounts reporting pack. Working closely with relevant teams to deliver quality, robust data analysis providing an accurate financial position to the Bestway Retail board.

 Key responsibilities as our Group Finance Manager are:

  • Accountable for the preparation and presentation of the monthly board reporting pack
  • Develop improved Management Information gathering to drive performance KPI’s
  • Liaising with relevant departments to gather accurate information in the delivery of the management accounts board pack
  • Reviewing commentary and challenging inputs from business units to ensure robustness of information
  • Preparing ad hoc analysis for inclusion in the pack, which provides real insight into the current financial position
  • Finessing commentary and professionalising presentation of pack suitable for senior stakeholder audience
  • Preparing analysis on ad hoc projects as requested by Bestway Group or Bestway Retail Directors to understand financial/operational impact of any business proposals

Job Requirements

About you…

  • Excellent communication skills including building relationships and influencing at all levels (including Director level)
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint – experience in building Board Level presentations
  • Hands on attitude and capable of carrying out end to end analysis (data gathering to presentation)
  • Eye for detail and comfortable with dealing with large data sets
  • Strong commercial mind-set and ability to think outside of the box
  • A qualified management accountant
  • Degree level of education
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA Qualified
